I. Project Overview
Carbon fiber is a new type of fiber material with high strength and high modulus fiber with a carbon content of 95% or more. It is a microcrystalline graphite material obtained by stacking organic fibers such as flake graphite microcrystals along the axial direction of the fiber and subjecting them to carbonization and graphitization. Carbon fiber is "flexible outside and rigid inside". Its weight is lighter than that of metal aluminum, but its strength is higher than steel, and it has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and high modulus. It not only has the inherent characteristics of carbon materials, but also has the soft processability of textile fibers. It is a new generation of reinforcing fibers.

Equipment Overview
For carbon fiber drying, the difficulty lies in that the control of the partition temperature must be accurate and uniform. The carbon fiber drying system includes a horizontal three-layer drying furnace, a main fan, a waste exhaust fan, a circulation pipe, and a thermal resistance field junction box. It contains two independent hot air circulation systems, and each temperature zone is provided with four measuring cells. The temperature is convenient for customers' observation and adjustment.
Third, engineering principles
When drying, hot air is forcedly input from above and below the material, so that the surface of each particle being dried becomes a heated surface. Increasing the contact area between the material and the hot air significantly increases the heat transfer area and shortens the distance of moisture diffusion inside the material. Therefore, it is possible to perform an excellent drying operation, especially for the material to be dried, which is added after an appropriate preliminary forming is performed.
